What is Green Cleaning?
Our cleaning is based on a complete approach to creating a healthier, more productive facility for the occupants without harming the environment. We offer a program based on specialized services, trained professionals, consulting, and commitment to Environmental Stewardship.
Why Green Cleaning?
The Environmental Protection Agency estimates indoor air quality may be 2 times more polluted than the air outside. Recent studies have shown gains of up to 16% in productivity and have been linked to improved indoor environmental standards. Many public schools have seen over 25% improvement in test scores after cleaning up the indoor environment.
The Green Maidworks Difference - Safer, Healthier and More Productive FacilitiesGreen Maidworks will help building owners protect the health, increase the building life cycle and provide comfort to their building occupants through utilizing comprehensive training, consulting and assessment programs with our specialized cleaning process. Our training programs and services, delivered by seasoned cleaning professionals with cross-discipline expertise in occupational and environmental medicine, public health, industrial hygiene, toxicology, and chemical engineering, are designed to facilitate GS-42 certification, gain points toward LEED certification, and support a wide range of environmental wellness goals. For commercial buildings, long-term care facilities, and educational institutions, Green Maidworks enables you to make a vital contribution to public health and the environment that delivers unparalleled gains in reputation, revenue and regulatory compliance. Our Communication ProgramsUpon implementing a cleaning program with a new janitorial organization, property managers and building owners have a unique opportunity to differentiate their services and buildings from the field, recruit employees, or attract and retain tenants. Since the success of any green cleaning program depends on the entire community getting involved in the greening of their buildings, we can help you develop communications programs to promote green cleaning at your building and throughout your organization. We do this through customized e-Newsletters, press releases, online communities, seminars and public awareness campaigns. Our communication and outreach campaigns, targeted to property managers and tenant associations, help build awareness, promote recycling, and educate all stakeholders on how they can improve and sustain the wellness of their indoor environments. Green Maidworks National Partners
Our partnership with The Building Wellness Institute & Daycon has helped our organization move beyond green to protect health and the environment.Over the past decade, professionals in the cleaning industry have become increasingly aware of its social responsibility to develop products and practices that protect heath and the environment. Green Maidworks has emerged as one of the industry's leading innovators, offering clients a multi-faceted approach to program development and execution. Whether you are just getting started on implementing a green and healthy cleaning program, looking for expert assistance in taking your sustainability program to the next level, or in search of logistics and support for certification under industry standards, such as Green Seal™, CIMS-GB, or the U.S. Green Building Council LEED program, Green Maidworks and Daycon can help.
Training, Assessment and Certification Support: While procuring green cleaning products is an important first step toward environmental wellness, a thorough understanding of green and healthy cleaning standards, processes, equipment and procedures is required to protect the health of your staff and building occupants. The Building Wellness Institute, established by Daycon in 2005, provides training, assessment and consulting services in healthy and sustainable cleaning practices. Communications and Awareness: Recognizing the importance of industry collaboration and public education, Daycon recently created the Healthful Buildings Partnership, a coalition of building owners and managers dedicated to maintaining and promoting the highest standards for protecting health and the environment. Why is Entryway Matting Important?Studies show that on average 1000 people will track 10kg of dirt into a building every month. It costs $1300.00 to remove one(1) kg of dirt from a building . In addition, it is estimated that 85% of tracked in matter and soil is deposited in carpeting. The first tracked in matter and soil enters during the first 2 or 3 steps into the entrance. Therefore, six to ten feet of quality entryway matting will capture a significant amount of dirt before it is able to contaminate other spaces in the building. Read more... |
